Hi, I’m Dr. Brandy Hood!
I am a board-certified Urologist offering comprehensive Urologic care in Nashville, TN and an associate of Urology Associates, P.C. I see all genders and offer a variety of treatment options, both medical and surgical, though I have special interests in urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders.
Outside of work, my family loves camping and hiking and spends many weekend hours cycling the greenways of Nashville. In my own spare time I can be found kayaking the Cumberland River, throwing a new piece of pottery or reading something nerdy about wizards, fairies or dragons.
I was born in Mississippi and completed my undergraduate training at Mississippi State University. I completed my medical training at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.
I completed Urology residency at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC.
I treat a variety of general urologic conditions in women and men with special interest in incontinence and pelvic floor disorders including advanced therapies for overactive bladder, stress incontinence, vaginal prolapse and pelvic pain disorders.
I am trained in both open and minimally invasive treatments, including robotic and laparoscopic surgical techniques.
It is important that all of my patients feel their concerns have been heard and that we can work together to create a treatment plan that is both medically appropriate and fits each patient’s goals.

Evaluation
During the first visit, we may check your urine and how well your bladder empties. Depending on your complaints you may be asked to participate in a physical exam that includes the abdomen and/ or the pelvis. You and I will then discuss if further tests are needed, such as imaging, labs or in some cases a more in-depth bladder test.
Treatment
After obtaining all of the important information, we will discuss what treatment options are available and make a plan that addresses your concerns and makes you comfortable. Please feel free to ask questions!
history
At your first visit with me you will be asked to provide a full history including medical problems, past surgical procedures and medications. Then we will discuss your specific concerns in detail.
